Work at Home Business Scams

Lets face it, the economy is in a terrible state these days. More and more people are loosing their jobs every day because of the state of the economy. People are getting desperate and trying anything to make money and pay their bills. There are sharks out there preying on these desperate people every day. They are offering a number of different get rich quick "scams".

Here are a couple of scams to be aware of -
1. The pyramid - The only thing you have to remember about this scam is, if you have to recruit other people to your business to make money, you are probably working a pyramid scheme. This scheme is a little more involved, but this is really all you need to know. Stay away from programs that want you to recruit more people.
2. The check cashing program - This scam is pretty obvious, but more and more desperate people are falling for it every day. In this one, "companies" e-mail people to cash checks or make wire transfers for them. All the people have to do is split the money with the "company". This is more often than not, a money laundering scam. The people cashing the checks can go to jail for a long time for this one.

The biggest thing to remember about work at home business scams is that if you are not required to sell a "product" and put in some good, honest to goodness work, you are probably looking at a SCAM. There are plenty of great ways to make money on the Internet. Every single one of them requires hard work. Remember - the word "WORK" is in the phrase work at home business. I have several great work at home business plans listed to the right. These are not plans i have written myself, but I have used each one successfully. I actually still use all of them. Good luck to all of you in your work at home business futures.
